"Ram" in Rollerbeetle Racing got "fixed".
Well, that kills my amazing strategy on getting high scores. Gg to ANet for fixing something that didn't need to be.
I guess I'll see how this changes things in Racing this weekend.
Edit: Mods can close thread. Event will be over soon, and the discussion looks like it's just going to go back and forth.

What, the BUG where you could increase your max speed by cheating through a checkpoint?
If so, good. People exploiting silly side games are really pathetic and anything that makes them run away bawling is a good thing.

That certainly would have been more worthwhile. The next person to find the big fix on how to get a high score will just get this to happen all over again.

Well the people who were good enough at the game to get high scores can surely do it again. Only WITHOUT cheating. *cough*

Fixed a bug that caused multiple copies of the Ram effect (in Rollerbeetle Racing) to interact incorrectly. This skill now cannot be reused until its initial effects wear off.

I'd tend to disagree. This really doesn't fix anything.

Sure, anytime you correct the function of something to work as described is a positive. People exploiting a game function that isnt working properly are in reality bug abusing, now everyone could do it yadda yadda, but it doesnt change the fact that it would be exploiting a game function operating out of proper spec

The skill never states that they aren't supposed to be used in succession. If it were like that, Rollerbeetle Dash and Harden Shell would get the same hit, even though using them like that anyway would be wasteful.

The people will still cheat. Last time, i ran into people syncing from inactive districts like poland. one guy was designated "winner" from the start, and the rest of the team would crush anyone that accidentally fell into their sync.
this happened to me; i faced one of the board leaders (guy that was on the top 100 multiple times). his teammates all went after me and i was hit so hard i couldn't finish
he finished in an amazing time, partly because he had nobody competing and hitting him.

If it could be proven I would say perma banned, but they probably used vent to sync the launch.

It's shouldn't a perma ban to sync in RR imo, it's just like syncing in RA. This just happens to let you get a Rollerbeetle if you're lucky >_>
